Environmental Engineering Work: R2O Consulting LLC

What it was: A summer engineering co-op at R2O Consulting, contributing to environmental, water, and infrastructure projects for clients across Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Denver, and other regions.

What it covered:

• Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for water resources and infrastructure design projects

• Technical work using PCSWMM, GIS, Excel macros, and RScript

• A website redesign project using Wix to improve client engagement

• Cross-location collaboration with project managers and clients across multiple U.S. offices

My role: I worked across multiple active projects as part of the consulting team, applying classroom knowledge in hydrology and hydraulics to real client deliverables, while also leading a website redesign initiative.

Outcome: I built technical fluency across several modeling and design tools, gained a working understanding of the consulting process from client collaboration to project delivery, and left with a stronger sense of how to balance independent work with seeking guidance. These are skills I'm continuing to build on.
