International Seminar: World Affairs Seminar
Environmental Stewardship and Policy

What it was: A week-long international seminar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where I represented my local Rotary Club as a delegate alongside about 200 students from around the world, focused on the theme "Climate Change: Youth Take Action."
What it covered:
Attending keynote sessions from global experts on climate change and environmental policy
Participating in a Simulated Diplomacy Session modeled on NATO foreign relations, gaining insight into international diplomacy
Speaking as one of 4 delegates (out of 200) selected to address a Rotarian meeting held during the seminar, sharing my experience with the donors who funded the trip
Producing a documentary film afterward, capturing and reflecting on the week's experience for my sponsoring Rotary Club
My role: I served as a delegate representing my local Rotary Club, participated fully in the seminar's programming and diplomacy simulation, was selected to speak on behalf of fellow delegates, and independently filmed, edited, and presented a documentary of the experience.
Outcome: The seminar deepened my commitment to environmental work and diplomacy, connected me with peers from around the world, and led to lasting relationships with the Rotarians who sponsored my trip. My documentary and the Rotary Club's coverage of the seminar are linked below.
