Personal Project: Sustainable Clay Home Model

What it was: A miniature-scale clay home model exploring green architecture principles, built out of a personal interest in landscape architecture and sustainable development that works with the environment rather than against it.

What it covered:

• Designing a small-scale home using earthen building methods that require fewer processed materials than conventional construction

• Incorporating a greenhouse element into the design to support on-site food growing

• Applying sustainable design concepts around material efficiency and building in harmony with natural surroundings

My role: I independently designed and constructed the model, translating green architecture concepts into a physical, artistic representation.

Outcome: The model became a hands-on way to explore how sustainable design principles, material efficiency, passive systems, and integrated growing space, could shape a home's form, blending my interest in engineering with art and design.
