Wastewater Work: Biosolids Operator and Analyst

What it was: Field and lab work as a Biosolids Operator and Analyst in Northeast Ohio, supporting a large manufacturing client — an opportunity that grew out of my internship at Biosolutions.

What it covered:

• Traveling to multiple industrial sites to collect influent and effluent water samples

• Lab testing and analysis to track chemical and biological properties over time

• Building a spreadsheet tool to automate the client's water quality calculations

My role: I collected samples in the field, ran lab analysis, and independently developed the spreadsheet forum used to calculate the client's chemical and biological properties.

Outcome: The spreadsheet tool is still in use by the client, improving the speed and accuracy of their water quality calculations.
